Our statement on Racism

UNITED CLERGY OF THE ORANGES, and vicinity STATEMENT ON RACISM and BIGOTRY

We the members of the United Clergy of the Oranges, and vicinity individually and collectively unite our voices in our stand against racism and bigotry.  We have seen unarmed Black People killed at the hands of Police Officers for alleged minor and or non-violent offenses.  We have witnessed with equal alarm the increasing rise in anti-Asian sentiments due to Covid.  We have watched the increase in racial tensions in the Black, Brown, and Asian communities.

Furthermore, we acknowledge and denounce the continued acts of antisemitism experienced by our Jewish brothers and sisters for generations.

We condemn racism and bigotry regardless of who may be the target.

Therefore, let it be known that we the United Clergy of the Oranges, and vicinity in the strongest terms possible, stand strong against racial oppression and discrimination wherever it may be found.

Everyone is welcome to attend our services, events, or functions regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, or gender. We are all God’s creation, created and made in God’s image. We will share the gospel of Jesus Christ so that all will experience the love of Christ, for the Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Let it be known, with this statement, we publicly affirm our identity as an organization that believes in racial equality and social equity, and we the United Clergy of the Oranges, and vicinity will continue to work toward social justice for all peoples.
